Now i'll give you some suggestions. I know you liake Beijing and Shanghai very much and it's hard for you to decide. Well, I think Beijing will be better ,because it's the first time you visit China, you can't miss the capital. What's more, you can visit lots of interests and places, such as the famous Great Wall ,Summer Palace, Forbidden City and so on. You can enjoy yourself and experience traditional chinese culture, I'm sure you'll like it. During the lunch time, eating Beijing Duck is a good idea. If you like,you can also taste other local dishes like dumplings. As you know, Bejing held the 2008 Olympics , so why not taking come photos in the stadium? All in all, Beijing is a city filled with ancient history and modern science. I'm lookng forward to you!
