你应该是想用上not only...but also...的结构吧?
有一点小错误：not only...but olso..是一个连词性词组,用的时候两分句共用同一个主语,后面的it应去掉.
not only dose it 不能说是用来倒装的,而是在这里边有一个规则：否定词置于句首,句中主谓一定要倒装.你这个句子的正常语序是：It not only provides the students with basic academic courses ,but also manages to expose them to the up-to-date knowledge.而你把not only放于句首,后面自然就要加上助动词dose来引起倒装啦!
