1.A Football Match A' Football Match
Last Friday afternoon, there was a football match between Class One and Class Two. It was a close match. Almost all the students went to the playground to cheer for them. Suddenly it began to rain, but no one left. At last Class One did better and won the game. The score was 2 to 1. The students of Class One were so excited that they sang songs happily for their team.
2.A Story
Once in the ancient Kingdom of Zheng there was a man who wanted to buy himself a pair of shoes. He took the measurement of his own feet with a piece of string. Then he went to the market. He was looking at some shoes at the shoe-maker's when he realized he had left the measurement at home. He put down the shoes and rushed home to fetch it. By the time he returned with the measurement the market had been closed. So he failed to get his shoes.
Somebody asked him, "Why didn't you just try the shoes on your feet?" He answered, "I would rather trust the measurement than my feet."
3.A "Foolish" Act in My Childhood
My dad bought a computer when I was five years old. I could draw pictures and listen to music on it. But once, the computer was down suddenly. My dad told me that it might be attacked by computer virus. I was so scared that I asked dad anxiously, "Did it get a flu? Did it need some medicine?" But dad laughed and said smilingly, "Don't be silly, son. No medicine can cure a computer virus. It's a problem of program." I didn't understand what my dad said at that time. But I made up my mind to study hard and to be a computer expert in the future.
4.It's harder and harder to be a student now. We always have lots of things to study. Sometimes we just can't stand it. We are students, but we are human also. We want some spare time to play and relax. But now how can we do that with so many classes and so much homework? Yesterday,one of my classmates told me that he spent four hours in the night on his homework. He couldn't go to sleep until midnight. We have the same experience as he does.
