As a translator, the choice of words is a very important step in the course of a translation; we need to find the most suitable and the most authentic ways of expression for the translated text. Chinglish is malformed English with Chinese traits which appears during the course of English learning and it plays a negative role in the translation process. This paper focuses on the analysis of the present state of Chinglish, the causes and the countermeasures.Translation is the transformation of languages and cultures; a translator is required to understand the disparities between the two languages, to develop English thinking and to intensify the trainings of error analysis and basic knowledge. Only then can Chinglish be possibly avoided.
