In ancient Roman, there was a " double faced god". Once a philosopher asked him:" why do you have a head with two faces?" The God replied:" Only in this way can I both see the past to get experiences and look ahead to give visions of future." Again did the philosopher ask:" But why don't you put emphases on the most meaningful today ?" Hearing "today", the Double Faced God got into a loss.
Those so called "gods" are unconscious. But as the intelligent part of the universe, we all know the past has gone, and we cann't hold. And we know that the future is the extention of today, which cann't be predicted. Why don't we cherish what we have now and hold onto today and recentness ?
Some people are used to addicting to the failure and achievements. They complain about missing the good chances and then go through their life in complains. They have always been in failure and lost today and future. On the contrary, many people lay their hopes on tomorrow. They hope to be better in the future, but they don't grasp today. Without recent hard work, how can the happy life in future be gotten and the dream be true?
Goethe once said that:" Nothing can be more worthily treasured than today." The words tell us that we should hold onto today in every minute. Keeping holding onto today is seizing the opportunity to get wisdom. Only by cherishing time and seizing today can we elongate our life and succeed in our business.
"One today is worth two tomorrows, and today's work should be done in today." The song of tomorrow is true essence that ancient people gain via lots of experiences. The ancient had feelings about this, and then the tales of " the first cantilever, cone" came into being. Today we have so many good conditions for our study, should we value them?
My friends, today is a meteor. It is transient. To avoid saying" I regret much" in our future life, we should seize today and now to keep study and work hard for a better future!
