1.in future ＝ from now on 意为“今后,以后”,常指离现在较近的一段将来时间.强调与过去相对照,过去是什么情况,今后将是什么情况.
如：Don't do that in future．以后别再干那种事了.

2.in the future ＝in time yet to come 意为“将来”,常指包括in future在内的较远
