When Bill's 111 year old birthday celebration comes, grey robe wizard Gan Daofu Bill Bo, something happened unexpectedly, so that he knew that his uncle had a magic ring. Gandalf didn't know what kind of ring Bill had, either. But from the power the ring released he judged that it was not an ordinary ring. After verification, he concluded that it was Sauron's ring, since the power was so strong. Gandalf himself was unable to control the power, so he ordered Frodo to take the ring to Raven Dell for solution.
