I have finished reading a very good book named City of Ember before the end of my school year comes.This was the second book that I have read that year and it was a very good book.There was a part of the book that I think interesting and exciting.The Singing Day mentioned in the book was one of the most important climaxes during the story which i was dedicated in and loved best.There was a cliffhanger In the Singing day that encouraged me to keep reading until the end of book.I thought Lina would die when bad mayor caught her,even although I was clear that it was just a plot in the book.But it was indeed so stimulating and theatrical that I could not help being worryed about Lina when I was completely addicted in this part .I thought it was,maybe,because of my quick heart-throb,the plots sometimes flashed quickly and vividly in my mind just as i was watching a real movie.When Lina escaped from the mayor with lights off ,she came to the top,burst through the door to the roof and ran out at last while Doon kept waiting for her to get the way to river.I could alomost feel how much Doon worried about Lina.
x05Although it was just a science fiction book there was a part of story that smeller in our life.Lina and Doon were best friends,they had explored the back alleys and dimly lit edges of the city,but they began to grow apart because of a little stupid mater that Lina laughed at Doon.I remember when I was much younger that I had a best friend,we were always playing with each other,but one thing happened which almost destoried our friendship .I cannot remember why I argued with him but that must be a little mattet .I could felt my heart beating so difficult like there was a stone in it that caused I cannot breathe anymore.As time goes by ,we seemed become strangers which I could not tell his name.
x05I thought the author was very good at describing details that there were many turning points which made the story more interesting and thrilling.Those turning points were decisions that Lina and Doon made that worked well.However,author still left some questions for readers.I thought those doubt points may tell readers in the sequel such as what happened before they migrate to underground city.I was very curious about what happen in the sequel,so I had fantasy.They would find a new city which was so different from ember,and they would meet more people and solve more problems,also they would help more people.For guessing that they may get marry and have many children.
要注重基本功,很多的常用的词组和搭配、时态的用法.还有,翻译英文不是根据中文直接翻译,要注意语境和英语的使用环境,像那个turning points ,明显的中文式的英语.多注意基本功,要打扎实.good luck
