The teachers teach, not all, but the students have to learn
Skills they have to gain, any many credits they have to earn
But really skills they have learned, or all day they take a rest
Somebody needs to know, so they are all put to test
Tests they take, with all the marks they can hit
Whether they can pass, all depends on how they fit
their teachers, or their textbooks, in books they have to scribe
Oftentimes, teachers and secretaries, they have to bribe
Then comes a time, if they pass the tests, when they need to know
If they are fortunate and passed, school they leave and they can go
Other times they fail, there's not much they can choose
They say goodbye to their teachers, and school they lose
