An Unforgettable Success
Life is a struggle, which is full of various success, some of them are unforgettable.
I still remember that day clearly when I first came to Lanzhou university. That was a sunny day, the train took me to Lanzhou railway station, when I got off the train, a dry and messy city poured into my eyes, it was completely not like a capital of a province, then the school bus picked me up and sent me to a remote countryside, where there are deserted mountains, I didn't know where the school bus would take me to.
At this moment, a gate came into my sight, I was aware that here was my college, I felt that I was cheated by the university leader, they said that the university was in the city when they were enrolling new students, but now why we were sent to a poor village? In my eyes, the university should have tall buildings,advanced equipments, but there was nothing that I imagined here, the campus was so tatty,except that many students who were welcoming us!
The next hours, I was in depression, my heart was full of regret,I pondered whether I should stay here at the cost of my youth."Go to college is to read the city of the university exists." These words came to my mind once and once again.
This night, a fellow--townsman came to visit me, he told me that "though our campus isn't your ideal campus, you will learn many that you can't learn in other places, to insist on, you will thank this place."
Today, a year has gone away, when I recall those past time, I feel I am lucky, I meet many excellent teachers and students, it is they who make me know that where there is will, there is
success. As one of my teachers said:"This campus gives us modesty and self--confidence, no matter when it is, we can and always can tell the world that we are and will always be the students of Lanzhou university."
Thank Lanzhou university , thank Yuzhong campus,"constantly strive to become stronger,develop a school of one's own" is the school motto ,I will remember this spirit forever and treasure every minute here!
