LED light bulbs for indoor lighting purpose has not significant advantages over ordinary energy saving light bulbs, but they are excellent candidates when used on applications that require small viewing angle, as flashlight, lamp and spotlight.
1.Luminous Intensity: LEDs with higher luminous intensity are more expensive. LEDs for lightbulbs should fulfill (FDA) Laser product compliance level Ⅰ.
2.ESD: LEDs with higher ESD level have longer life time and are more expensive. Usually, only LEDs with 700V plus ESD protection can be used as LED lighting.
3. Consistency of wavelength: price will be higher if color uniformity is required. It’s difficult for manufactures to provide uniform color without putting a spectrometer on the binning station.
4.Reverse current: LEDs are emitters with unilateral conductivity. If there’s reversed current, it’s considered as leakage current. LEDs with high leakage current usually have shorter life time and are cheaper.
5.Viewing angle: Different viewing angles are required for different applications. Special viewing angles and big angles for diffused reflection are usually more expensive
