Learning is important to everyone.
Why do we learn? We learn because we have a mind called "curiousity". We learn because we need to survive in this world, just like how a baby bear learn to fish in the river. We learn because we want to give ourselve a better life.
So how do we learn? This is the main problem that many people like to ask. Human is pretty good at forgetting things, especially the things that they hate. But we must learn, even if it is the things that you don't like. Actually, learning is very simple. What you need to keep in mind is three points. Patience, concentration, and the habit of asking why.
Patience is a must in learning, because learning takes time. Without patience, you might not look over the whole text book to find out the right answer and you would leave a blank in your homework which would affect your grades. Without patience, you might not go over all those complicated calculations, and your math test's score would be very close to a zero. Without patience, you might not write those essays in your exams, which would critically affect your grade. Look, if you don't have patience, you can't even graduate!
Concentration is also a must in learning. In our brain, there are two parts that has the function of memory, one is for temporary memory, and the other is for permanent memory. To store a knowledge as a temporary momery is not hard. As an example, you can easily recall the vocabularies you just have memorized for about few hours, but after a certain period of time, you will totally forget about it. But if you concentrate and spend some time on memorizing your vocabularies, you can recall them at anytime you like, because you have saved those knowledge into permanent memory. So when you are learning, do not use cellphone or computers that distract you, or else you will forget about all those precious knowledge within few days.
The habit of asking why is also a must in learning. Especially in math, physics and chemistry region. Can you memorize all those complicated formulas and costant numbers without understanding? The knowledge is not a knowledge if you do not try to understand them, because you can not figure out whether it's correct or not, and it will be easily mixed up with all other formulas and constant numbers. But if you try to understand how a formula was built up and how a constant number was calculated, you can hardly mix them up with other things.
It's very simple to ask why and you do not need to be shy about it, because we all have curiousity. So just try to ask why when you have questions.
Patience, concentration, and the habit of asking why are the three main points that you need to keep in mind of when learning, and these three are also the keys to success in your life.
